Salary (TRCA)
GDS employees are paid Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA).
BPM (Branch Postmaster): ₹12,000/- to ₹ 29,380/-
ABPM / Dak Sevak: ₹10,000/- to ₹ 24,470/-
Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
- Secondary School Examination (10th Std) Pass: Candidates must have passed the 10th standard with passing marks in Mathematics and English from a recognized Board.
- Local Language: The candidate must have studied the local language (of the applied Circle) at least up to the 10th Standard.
2. Age Limit (As on 16/02/2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 40 Years
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 Years
- OBC: 3 Years
- PwD: 10 Years
- EWS: No Relaxation
3. Other Requirements
- Knowledge of Computers.
- Knowledge of Cycling.
- Adequate means of livelihood.
Application Fee
- General / OBC / EWS: ₹ 100/-
- Female / SC / ST / PwD / Transwomen: Exempted (No Fee)
Selection Process
- Merit Based: Selection will be made based on a system-generated merit list calculated from the marks obtained in the 10th Standard (SSC).
- No Exam: There will be no written examination or interview.
- Note on Grades/Points: For boards giving grades/points, a multiplication factor of 9.5 will be used to calculate marks (e.g., A1 Grade = 10 Points = 95 Marks).

- Fee Payment: Pay the application fee of ₹100 (if applicable).

- Submit: Preview the application and click "Submit". Take a printout for reference.
